Too much good taste can be very boring. Independent style, on the other hand, can be very inspiring.
Recently, my blogger friends and I attended a bloggers meet-up organized by Stylus Express Magazine and powered by Central Mall. It was called ‘Love for your Mom’ in which we celebrated Mother’s day and showed them how special they are to us by showering them with love and pampering them. We gotta admit our lives would be a total mess without them.
Sometimes, they’re so busy taking care of everyone that they forget to take care of themselves, so we gotta do it for them and tell them every once in a while that how important they are to us.
When it comes to my Mom, she’s a working woman and as a matter of fact, being a social media influencer I get most of my influence from my mum.
Many of the outfits in my pictures are from my Mom’s closet. Her styling is even better than mine.
When Stylus Express told us we had to engage in a playful activity where we had to style our mothers using Central’s drool-worthy products, my Mom and I were stoked about it.
So, I chose a navy blue 2 piece indo-western outfit with gold print from Noida’s brand Indya which particularly specializes in indo-western outfits, a gold sling bag from LP that complimented her outfit with nude and gold wedges from Catwalk. It was so convenient to get all the products at one place. Central has such an eye-catching collection.
I did her makeup using MAC cosmetics and Lakme. And, believe me, at the end she was looking like a doll. Just see for yourself:
At the end of the event, we left with happiness on our faces and most importantly our mother’s. I really appreciate Central for their hospitality and would totally recommend it as a trendy shopping destination. The ambience is comforting and the staff is customer-friendly. Also, much appreciation to Stylus Express for making such an amazing event happen and for providing the much needed exposure for fashion and lifestyle in the city.
A few days ago, I and my fellow bloggers were invited to the pre-launch of Simaaya, a chain of ethnic stores from Calcutta. At the pre-launch, I wore a pastel pink lehenga.
The millennial pink is such an on trend color that I fell in love as soon as I set my eyes on it. It was the perfect choice from an elegant bridal couture. The color is calming and the detailing is floral with little aqua pearls which adds to the beauty of the lehenga.
It was not too heavy to carry and the dupatta was made of net mesh same as the blouse.
Another of its perks was that it made me look taller than I actually am.
The lehenga makes you want to flaunt it in your sister’s marriage that the girly girl inside you has been planning since you were teenagers. Well, wouldn’t that be glorious?
Ethnic, when done the right way makes sure that all eyes are on you.
It is comfort and glamour in the same place.
The trendy colors are spring block with favorably a clutch to carry when it comes to accessories.
